Treatment Approaches
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps the individual to understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Specific techniques are taught to help the individual learn new ways to think and react in order to reduce negative feelings and behaviors.
Exposure With Response Prevention (E/RP)
Exposure with Response Prevention helps to reduce symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder through systematically confronting fears and refraining from engaging in compulsive behaviors.
Interpersonal Therapy
Interpersonal Therapy helps to improve functioning within relationships by focusing on one's interpersonal style and behavior in relationships. It aims to reduce negative feelings that may evolve as a consequence of interpersonal difficulties.
